hurricane 01:48
left me stranded in a hurricane, why would you leave? tried runnin' to the places we had built, but they wouldn't shelter me so i watched you leave and all the memories that we had made were gone with the wind i never thought i'd see the day that i didn't wish them back again so i watch them leave and i think it's time to leave, we're on our way maybe the sun will shine again someday waiting this out, is too much together how could we have predicted the weather? i think it's time to leave left me stranded in a hurricane, why would you leave?

dear brown eyes you could run away with my heart and i wouldn't mind i wouldn't mind all this time i've been opening and closing doors that you stood behind brown eyes i wanna lay in a field, watching the stars with you get lost in your eyes and maybe you would too i wanna dance to a sing blaring out from your car get lost in the night and find a way back to you heart get lost in your eyes and you get lost in mine get lost in your eyes and you get lost in mine get lost in your eyes and you get lost in mine get lost in your eyes and you get lost in mine, mine mine, oh get lost in mine get lost in mine

in his arms 03:20
as you lay down your head i hope there's no regrets you are my song i sing through the storms and the chaotic sea you are mine and all i need oooh, these blankets are warm tonight but oooh, not as warm as the feeling of your arms wrapped around me tight i am safe i am safe in his arms tonight oooh, these blankets are warm tonight but oooh, not as warm as the feeling of your arms wrapped around me tight i am safe i am safe in his arms tonight

mosaic 03:52
i was hoping that you would call me over, and we would both be sober talkin' 'bout it, straight ahead i was hoping that maybe in the morning, when we'd given our warnings and listened to all we never said i would believe you i would believe you every little breath i would believe you i would believe you everything you said i was hoping that nothing really mattered and all that was shattered we'd put into our mosaic i was hoping that even though we've fallen and even though we're broken we could just lay here and say i would believe you i would believe you every little breath i would believe you i would believe you everything you said maybe time will maybe time will tell yeah, maybe time will tell maybe i should just wish you well maybe i should wish you well i was hoping that you would call me over, and we would both be sober talkin' 'bout it, straight ahead i was hoping that maybe in the morning, when we'd given our warnings and listened to all we never said i would believe you i would believe you every little breath i was hoping that nothing really mattered and all that was shattered we'd put into our mosaic i was hoping that even though we've fallen and even though we're broken we could just lay here and say i would believe you i would believe you every little breath i would believe you i would believe you everything you said yeah, i would believe you i would believe you every little breath yeah, i would believe you i would believe you everything you said

about

Four little songs I’ve written over the past year, a couple of them complete with my version of backing vocals/harmonies, go me.

1: hurricane – this one’s about being caught in a storm and watching the person you thought cared about you leave. And in the end all the ‘safe’ places you’d both built together weren’t strong enough to shelter in.

2: dear brown eyes – I wrote this one about someone with brown eyes (duh).

3: in his arms – just a cute lil love song, kids.

4: mosaic – I love that mosaics are made from little pieces of glass, or anything broken. So when I think of a relationship that’s ‘broken’, I like to think that it can be put back together as a mosaic, which are unique and beautiful.

Hope you like these four little mosaics hanging on my Bandcamp wall. <3
